Weather Protection
Temporary Roofs for Work That Needs Cover
We provide temporary roof scaffolding for roofing, refurbishment and building projects around Chester-le-Street. We’ll talk through the building, the work and the programme so weather protection is considered as part of the project from the start.
Think About Cover Before the Roof Comes Off
If your roofer expects to expose a large area of the building, tell us at the quote stage. A temporary roof needs to be discussed alongside the working platforms, building dimensions and access around the property.
Send any roof plans, elevations or contractor’s brief you already have. If the details are still developing, call us and we’ll help identify what needs confirming.

Roofing, Extensions & Refurbishment
Temporary cover may form part of a full re-roof, substantial repair or a longer refurbishment. Explain the work sequence, how the building will be used and what your contractors need to reach.
We’ll look at the roof arrangement and the space around the building. Extensions, nearby structures, ground levels and access restrictions all need to be included in that conversation.
Straightforward Advice & a Free Quote
Our family-run team will explain the information we need and help you move the enquiry forward without expecting you to know the technical terms.
Start with the site address, photos, the work planned and likely dates. We’ll discuss the next step with you and your contractor.
Discuss the Covering Before the Roof Is Opened
Temporary roof scaffolding needs to be part of the project conversation early. Tell us what is being opened, the expected duration and the working space your contractor needs underneath the covering.
Include the roof shape, the surrounding property and access routes in your photographs or drawings. We’ll discuss the weather-protection brief with the access requirements, rather than assume a standard roof scaffold includes a covering.
Access Beneath a Temporary Roof
The contractor may still need to reach several roof slopes, a chimney or parts of the wall while the covering is in place. Explain those tasks and the order they will happen. Material delivery and loading requirements also belong in the brief.
If the work is extended or changes after the quote, contact us. We’ll review the revised requirements and explain what needs confirming before the scaffold arrangements are changed.
